For more than ten years, Reinhard Dammann has been an expert for governments and international organisations. He participated in the drafting of the new Insolvency Regulation (EU) 848/2015 of 20 May 2015 and the Restructuring Directive (EU) 2019/1023 of 20 June 2019.
He is an expert for the World Bank in advising governments on the reform of their insolvency law (Egypt, Mongolia, Ethiopia, Lebanon).
He represents the Foundation for Continental Law at the United Nations UNCITRAL working group V sessions in New York and Vienna on the drafting of model laws on cross-border insolvency proceedings.
He is a member of the main French and international insolvency associations : International Insolvency Institute (III), Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy, INSOL Europe, Association pour le Retournement des Entreprises (ARE), Comité Français de Droit International Privé, Conseil Scientifique de la Fondation pour le Droit Continental, Comité Insolvabilité du Haut Comité Juridique de la Place financière de Paris, Comité scientifique du Bulletin Joly Entreprises en Difficulté and Comté du Bulletin Joly Sociétés.
